Our Latest Projects

Applying insulating lime plaster. This ensures that the walls can breath and retains the original lime finish. The added insulation makes the rooms more comfortable. The addition of an extension more than doubled the size of this kitchen. Extension built using matched handmade bricks with cream coloured lime mortar. Bricks of this type change hue and impact with the changes in light. A 17th century farmhouse undergoing restoration and preservation works. It's important to protect floors and features from damage before starting work. An effective blend of modern and traditional. A loft conversion showing the newly installed brick slip wall with lime mortar pointing. Part of the refurbishment work to a 16th Century cottage included fitting a new kitchen. There was a lot of scribing required! The new oak corner post in position and brickwork rebuilt with colour matched lime mortar. This kitchen was completely gutted and refurbished. Marking out the corner post joint. Conservation requirements meant that we needed to preserve as much original timber as possible. Trial fitting the oak corner post, Note the retention of the original top section which hadn't rotted so could be reused. Time to start cutting and shaping joints in the new oak.
